ToggleCorgi Enrichment Planner
Your Corgi is not simply a pet. They are a working dog — centuries of herding intelligence, physical drive, and relentless curiosity compressed into a compact, expressive, entirely captivating frame. That intelligence does not switch off because the cattle are gone. It looks for somewhere to go, every single day.
What happens when it finds nowhere to go is familiar to most Corgi owners: the ankle-herding, the furniture rearrangement, the operatic barking, the eyes that follow you with an intensity that suggests they are two minutes away from filing a formal complaint about the standard of mental stimulation on offer.
An enrichment plan is not an optional extra for this breed. It is the foundation of a genuinely contented Corgi. And it does not have to be complicated — it has to be consistent, low-impact, and matched to your dog's age, energy level, and the equipment you actually have.
The Pember Diamonds Corgi Enrichment Planner does that work for you. In under two minutes, it generates a personalised daily activity plan for your Pembroke Welsh Corgi — built around the breed's specific needs, our twenty years of experience with this extraordinary breed, and the latest evidence on canine cognitive enrichment.
It is completely free. It takes two minutes. And it may well change your Corgi's day — and your own.
| 🚨 Built-in safety: Every plan generated by this tool reflects the IVDD and joint-protection guidelines that responsible Corgi breeding demands. No jumping. No high-impact activities. No sessions that exceed age-appropriate limits. The planner knows your Corgi's age and plans accordingly. |
Instructions
How to use the planner
The planner has seven steps. Work through them in order — each one takes only a few seconds — and your personalised plan will update in real time as you go.
1. Your Corgi's name
Type your Corgi's name in the first field. Every plan is personal — this is theirs.
2. Age group
Select the age bracket that matches your Corgi. This is the most important setting — it determines session length limits, activity intensity, and whether growth plate protection rules apply. Never exceed the recommended limits for your dog's age.
3. Energy level today
How is your Corgi today? Low, medium, or high. Corgis vary day to day — a dog who is slightly under the weather, stiff from yesterday, or simply having a quieter day should have a lower-intensity plan. Trust what you observe.
4. Outdoor access
Tell the planner what outdoor space you have available. A large garden opens up different activities than an apartment. The planner adapts accordingly — every home can provide excellent enrichment.
5. Toys & equipment
Tick the toys and equipment you own. Only activities that match what you actually have will appear in your plan. Herding ball, flirt pole, fetch toys, puzzle feeder, snuffle mat — tick what applies.
6. Mental activities
Select the brain games you want included. Trick training and the muffin tin game are pre-ticked as excellent no-equipment defaults. Nose work, name that toy, and walks & heel work are additional options — all free, all highly effective.
7. Daily time available
Use the slider to set how many minutes you have available today. The planner will fit a complete, balanced plan into your available time — whether that's 30 minutes or two hours.
Reading your plan
Your plan appears immediately below the settings. Each session is colour-coded by type:
| 🔵 Mental — brain games, trick training, puzzle feeders, nose work. These are the most important sessions for Corgi wellbeing and the safest for growing joints. 🟠 Herding — herding ball and flirt pole work. These satisfy the breed's deepest instinctive drive. Keep sessions slow, controlled, and on flat ground. 🟢 Physical — leash walks, heel work, fetch. Low-impact movement that builds fitness without joint stress. |
Each session card shows the activity name, duration in minutes, and a brief description of what the activity achieves. The total daily goal is shown at the top of the plan.
A few things worth knowing
- Rotate activities daily. The planner generates a fresh plan each time — use this. Variety prevents boredom and keeps your Corgi genuinely engaged rather than going through the motions.
- The plan is a guide, not a prescription. If your Corgi is reluctant, stiff, or disengaged, shorten or skip a session without guilt. A plan that respects your dog's signals on any given day is a better plan than one followed rigidly.
- Stop immediately if you see limping, reluctance to move, stiffness after rest, or any sign of back or neck discomfort. These are not training problems — they are veterinary signals. Please contact your vet.
